Life of Kings

I wrote this song many years ago. I never published it with my EP or later as a single. The recent comments by a New York Times reporter regarding Obama’s birthday crowd being ‘sophisticated and vaccinated’ reminded me of some of the elitist lyrics. When I first imagined the song, I wanted it to have the energy of a big musical number set to Mozart-style chamber music. Had I had the production dollars, I would’ve put out the song in order to have an excuse for the music video; of course, I have it storyboarded already. My revived writing dedication has spilled over into music again, and I would very much like to go back in the studio: finish incomplete … Read More

I’m still in a watching and waiting mode. It’s mainly a time management thing. The wants butt up against the responsibilities right now. And aside from work, my personal responsibilities are heavy. Expressing the poetry is a free outlet, whether in front of a crowd or on my music site. I have added a link on my music site to Poems and will be posting … Read More

Time Is on Your Side

We made it. Passed the holidays, all our pieces are still in tact. The new year, the perception of a fresh start, as it actually just slides into another… Time is speeding up. Have you noticed? No, it really is. But here’s the best part, the time between what you want and when you will get it is also shorter now, so there’s that. You must act on it, no waiting around. And I have been spending time and waiting. Since Sunday, I believe my body has been physically glued to my bed with illness: no reading, no Netflix, no nothin! There have been moments of mental conception and new creation inside of this fatigue, and my own path has … Read More
