I hear the beat and it brings me back to you. We are dancing together in the living room. In our own little world -spinning each other, then pushing apart to individually croon into our imaginary microphones. We are putting on a show in the living room. Attendees are half engaged in muted conversation and half giving us attention. We sing alto and soprano off of one another and when we bellow out the moving, crescendo parts of the song, all attention fully focuses on us. Always. We concentrate the room. We are performers. Not even halfway through January, thought i’d sound-in on the personal updates before I loose myself down other rabbit hole blogging topics. What I’m Reading Most of my reading comes by referral. I commented on social media recently how my reads would be on the lighter side this year. This in no way implies just fiction or casual investment of time. I just mean I’m not spending a significant amount of time on one history or biography of 300+ pages, taking up nearly 2 months! In this stack there is culture, history, practical applicable information, spiritualism ‘without the woo-woo’ –Tim Ferris, AND a Murakami. ‘I can’t believe I havent read this one!’ Murakami. Coming from a librarian nerd, don’t you … Read More
