Time to Think

I got off work early Friday, grateful. In the last few days, all of my immediate need-to-do and want-to-accomplish have been met. A random question popped in my mind, a ping of curiosity. The first time I sat in meditation at 8 years old, how-WHY did I come to do so? Why the seated position, the deliberate spine structure, why the darkness and focus on breath… I have wondered what propelled me, what instigated the behavior, the influence I was under. Had I read, seen, or heard something? Yes, most probably. But it’s been 4 days, and I have no particular clarity. We are so susceptible at certain moments in our rearing. Consequences we can’t fathom yet feel daily. Maybe … Read More

I Just Can’t

Everything online is so annoying to me. It’s provocative and petty. I don’t even know what the point of my Twitter account is anymore and it has way more credit than having a Facebook account. I only got on Facebook to have a music page, but now I rarely even listen to music and vaguely recognize a singing self in me. I do not sing everyday like I once did. I do drink a glass of wine every evening so I’m certain my vocals are less smooth, less clean. I would have to dry out for a few days before I even showed my face in a studio, absolutely. I try to rarely rant on Facebook, because I don’t want to be *that person*, but dammit, this is worthy of more than sounding off. I want to give you some perspective -incase you give no shits about news, politics, media behavior… This is a microcosm example of a much larger problem. Trust me. Rant: The Chinese hacking of Federal Employees is the worst act of espionage in our history and the mainstream media is spending more time on this Ashley Madison website hack. The MSM are mainly immoral liberals who love throwing the lack of values or goodness or anything Christian ideal into the face of the public, further perpetuating their idea that America isn’t the perfect haven comparative … Read More

Oh Say Can You See?

This morning I was still reflecting on last night’s Creationism vs Evolution debate between Bill Nye &  Ken Ham. It was great, not because i think each gentleman showed their truest colors, but because of the freedom of our culture; opposing view points can co-exist, whether or not they’re copacetic. I don’t believe either person has all the answers for any person. I don’t believe the Bible is literal to a T. I believe both arguments reach dead-ends. I believe there can be a mutual cohabitation of science and religion, and believing in one doesn’t have to negate the other. You can freely not give a damn about what either one says, too. If I met you in person, I’d probably consider you … Read More
