Follow my blog with Bloglovin November ’15 Review I read this picture with quite a lot of relief, truthfully. Where most people place blame outwardly, I often need reminding it is not necessary nor constructive to internalize everything or beat down myself so much. And the ~so much~ is the root of the problem: Today’s World The link goes to the Lefsetz Letter, a blog by an experienced exec in the music biz., touting ‘first in music analysis’. This one highlights great observations: Scarcity is History or More Information, Greater Ignorance.  He was recommended by Seth Godin, an internet entrepreneur-genius I admire. Bob Lefsetz writes in a one-stream-of-thought style and yes, mainly about the music business, but the post are … Read More

Do you live in New York? It is an extreme environment representing all the world’s characters, every type of doer, shaker, or creator. Everyone either wants to be someone or already is someone. This is mainly due to the fact that the rent is so high. The hustle is non-negotiable. Most consider the expense worth the it. Those with the most discretionary income hustle in other ways, like funneling funds into expensive art at auctions, the new ‘appreciation’. Have you visited New York and stayed in someone’s place, not a hotel? I started following a podcasts review blog until he became self-involved and grandiose about the whole enterprise, because -he truthfully was at the time- the only person reviewing and writing on the avenue of influence. I don’t cut people any slack. I’m your worst boss. I’m a hard shell with high standards. Few see me or know me as emotional. But the center is soft. I hover over my every move and analyze my every thought, so why wouldn’t I project this behavior onto you? Who do you think you are?! I don’t cut myself any slack. I have the right to offend. Everything to me is a literal observation. This is why I straddle the line of autism, this is why I find sarcasm NOT FUNNY or sarcastic. I even hate the word! Shoot me before I will watch a late night comedian. I find sarcasm irritating and annoying. I get along better with … Read More

Memories and Memoribilia

When I was growing up, I was the least affluent of my friends. I had many affluent moments and a handful of exposures to some great wealth, but generally speaking… There were 3 significant homes I had with my mother. The most impactful -relevant to this post- was the house I lived in during my late junior high to high school years. I’ve written of it before. Worth a read. A short story. Needless to say, i’ve come to reflect on it as a tiny museum shop, without the fantasy that term might actually suggest. There were walls covered in pictures and shelves with stuff, tedious furniture items mainly used to display other things on, multiple shadow boxes filled with … Read More
