Much.Less.Satisfying. In this moment feeling the overwhelmed with words and blog post ideas, so instead of planning: will just sit down to it and go with the stream of thought. I am absolutely one of those persons who needs the setting to be ‘right’. Morning email: reads the news and professional things before the fun or fictional things. I eat the vegetables before the protein because i’m a ‘save the best for last’ eater. I clean off the work space entirely before I can organize the external music writing lyrics. Everything for me is very orderly. The world is, science and chemistry are; humans are habitual. Our best health is about this. Some people are actually under the impression they … Read More

Often, and this happens quite often: I’ll be thinking on a scene or place, a forgotten person, or an idea : and then immediately someone is going to or returning from that place, a number of food bloggers are manipulating a nut or vegetable in the same off-handed way, the long lost friend calls or actor is back in the news randomly, and a business blogger will acknowledge the same concept or working theory I just settled on. Call it coincidence, but this happens weekly, consistently. I know that the internet in and of itself is a brain; but it is connecting us in a new way too. One thing I’ve always known from years of having studied and one half year of having parasites, our digestion IS our immune system. This is why the axiom ‘food can heal, food can kill’ is so spot on. It is also a topic I am not shy about discussing. You know when things aren’t working, it effects everything. So yeah, this book Gut, The Inside Story of Our Bodies Most Underrated Organ … Read More

Like the previous post hinted at, one extreme or the other: But, I genuinely feel that there are universal truths. The word cliché wouldn’t exist if we aren’t aloud to make broad strokes or generalizations about life. The word generalization wouldn’t exist or portend our survival if we can’t categorize things happening in our life. The problem is, when we proclaim something or someone definitive, we become personally labelled or pigeon-holed with extremes: racist, homophobe, left wing or right wing, anti-this and that (guns, military, female rights, etc…) One comment or title or protesting sign (generated by emotion more than intellect -let’s be honest) or our daily employment (for survive not passiom): none of this defines us solely. Sure it … Read More

When it Rains, it Pours

Doesn’t everyone know this?! Doesn’t everyone you know, say this?! Usually people are referencing money coming in or dating prospects. I swear. When there is drought, money is tight and no one wants you. When the job(s) are good and the bills are light, it’s like no worries exist. If you aren’t married, and you’re in the dating scene, the options abound and you feel full of yourself. If you are married or focused on one, it’s still an observation that people are ‘on you’, ‘looking at you’, ‘promoting you’ or your work. I would like to believe I am about to torrential rain on this blogging. I frankly don’t care how trivial. One liners even; I just need to … Read More
