I am currently addicted to TED talks. The paradigm has shifted in how we learn and how we create. If you’re unfamiliar, you’re missing out on mind expanding lectures, scientific progress information, and various means and modes of inspiration. In comparison, the thought of watching tv sickens me. Why do people do it?
My book reading life is 4 stacked at home, 2 on the ipad, and 9 on my Amazon wish list. All historical fiction, history or non-fiction. Almost done with Ken Follett’s Winter of the World. 4 families in different parts of the world, set from 1935-45. Awesome. All of his books are awesome. You may be familiar with Pillars of the Earth, a short Showtime (i think?) series, based off one of his trilogies.
The music writing and production is a slow steady climb; everything i need to teach me patience.
Quote I’m liking:
Turning up love turns up everything else. As in, whatever your heart desires, including the process that will bring it to you. -TUT
The last debate tonight, and I’m super excited. I’ve had a great viewing buddy and we’re a series of fist punches into the air, as well as a few expletives for good measures. I can’t wait for twitter the night of the election. I’m not going to be able to keep up with all of your sarcasm, satire, and general statements. I will also be in the fetal position if Obama wins. No matter, I will be taking off to Amsterdam shortly after. Even more excited about this. All i can say about the trip…finally; it’s been a long time coming.
