Time Is on Your Side

We made it. Passed the holidays, all our pieces are still in tact. The new year, the perception of a fresh start, as it actually just slides into another… Time is speeding up. Have you noticed? No, it really is. But here’s the best part, the time between what you want and when you will get it is also shorter now, so there’s that. You must act on it, no waiting around. And I have been spending time and waiting. Since Sunday, I believe my body has been physically glued to my bed with illness: no reading, no Netflix, no nothin! There have been moments of mental conception and new creation inside of this fatigue, and my own path has … Read More

The glass of wine I’m enjoying taste more vinegary the second day. It is cheap enough to pour out; or better yet, just share it with someone and finish it the first day. So this is where I’m coming from. I didn’t even look at the date of my last post before anxiously sitting down to do it, not over-thinking I need a specific subject, topic, goal, or agenda. It always comes to me when I just do it. Nike’s quote is Buddhism in disguise. It has taken me a long time to learn timing is everything; beautiful paradox. Why do i feel like a slacker for not blogging? What’s so great about sharing so much? When I post a … Read More

I want to give it all away, minus my wardrobe and my books. The books are my library. They tell me stories. And when you read the titles, they give you insight into where my mind has been and who i am. And as much as i don’t say, they speak for me. My clothes are my presentation to the world. They are my mood and how I’m feeling today. Who do I want to present, who do I want you to think I am? I hate … Read More

News to me: Anne Frank was not the only young chronicler of the Nazi Occupation. Books are harder for me to get rid of than clothes. Even if I think i may wear something again, i hand it off easily. But even knowing I won’t actually read a book again, i still hoard it. I like the eye appeal of my well-stocked book shelves. I’d rather be better read than most fashionable any day.  What do you do with old books? Cookbooks I’m absolutely certain to not use, I donated to a local cooking school or gave away to friends they suited, i.e. David Lebovitz’s chocolate book to a sweet-tooth phene. My most treasured is a 1865 German Bible i … Read More

Yesterday kicked off the first day of CPAC in Washington, so most are distracted with what the GOP and Republican types are speaking on, complaining about, and rallying for. It is serious business, and 2016 is a big deal. So i figure the only way to get some attention away from that is to mention sex. You guys are so simple. Here we have it: from tech to sex, from innovation to the absurd… How Spritz Redesigned Reading, Letting You Scan 1,000 Words a Minute This could very well put me on top of the world! Interesting new live art medium. Women Read Out Loud Until Orgasm This just sounds (pun) absolutely ridiculous and staged. ‘Cubitt’s idea for the project evolved … Read More
